Describe an occasion that somebody or something was making a lot of noise
You should say:
Where you were
What you were doing
Who/what was making the noise
And explain how the noise affected you.
Being in crowded areas or at noisy events is not something I particularly enjoy. Being shoved by others bothers me, and the music just keeps coming back; it’s very irritating. But there was one occasion last year when I truly fit in: at my family’s Tet gathering.
The party was well attended, and our cousins who live overseas made their first visit home in a long time. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming despite the large number of people present, and I felt a sense of connection and belonging with my family. I found the event to be enjoyable and memorable because of the laughter, stories, and shared memories. I was able to reunite with family and make priceless memories on this momentous occasion.
There were a variety of activities we enjoyed, all geared toward getting ready for the Tet holiday. The ladies were in charge of cooking, while me and my cousins cleaned the whole garden. We also took the time to set up the altar for our ancestors and decorate the house with customary decorations.
We hosted a karaoke singing session in the evening. It was a unique opportunity to discover natural singers in the family line—the hidden gems. It turned out to be just us yelling together along the lyrics of the song with no rhyming, which was hilarious.
The laughter and joy that filled the house that night created unforgettable memories for all of us. As we gathered around the table to enjoy a delicious meal, we felt grateful for the time spent together preparing for the upcoming holiday.
