Describe a person who enjoys cooking for others
You should say: Who this person is What he/she likes to cook Who he/she cooks for And explain why he/she enjoys cooking |
Well, the first person that comes into my mind when hearing this question is definitely my mom who is pretty much in charge of our daily meals. My mom has been a full-time homemaker ever since she gave birth to my older sister, so it’s been like 26 years already.
I would say that she is an extremely careful and passionate person when it comes to preparing food for her loved ones. At the end of each week, she would plan the menu for the next one and tries her best to make sure we do not eat the same dishes for 2 days in a row, which is what I’m really thankful for. She always takes time to diversify her culinary repertoire by watching tutorials on Youtube to learn how to cook exotic dishes from other cultures like Japanese or French cuisine, and somehow she always finds a way to fuse different kinds of food together and create her own unique dishes. And I can really see the spark in her anytime she has a chance to make food for other people like at some family gatherings or some get-togethers.
I think the reason why my mom is so enthusiastic about cooking is because she used to be a famous main cook in a restaurant in Hanoi, but she kind of gave up her passion to attentively raise her children. So sometimes she still confides in me about her missing her old job and how seeing other people smiling when savoring her food can make her day.
And you know, I think I inherit her love for cooking as I’ve also found working around the kitchen fascinating. I guess my mom is my inspiration as I love her food and culinary tasks have rubbed off on me. Therefore, I’ve been studying how to cook with her and I really hope that one day I could fulfill her dream to run our own restaurant in her place.
